0.2% chlorhexidine is an effective antibacterial and antifungal agent; it acts against microoganisms that develop in periodontium; inhibits formation of plaque deposits. This active antiseptic works for many hours. Xylitol fights against cariogenic bacteria, has general antibacterial, anticariogenic, refreshing effect and it enhaces mineralisation of dental enamel. Common sage showes anti-inflammatory, anti-septic and astringent properties.
